Trauma Bags for City Police

The Hazleton Police Department received a special donation Friday that
will assist in treating serious injuries when police arrive on the scene
of an accident or crime. APTS ambulance company has donated three
“trauma bags” to Hazleton City Police. These bags are filled with tools
used to treat more serious injuries like stabbing victims or gun shot
wounds. Police say nine times out of ten time, they arrive on scene
first and must secure the scene before emergency personnel are allowed
to step in. For this reason, these trauma bags will be a big help to
police. APTS already works with the local fire departments and working
with police is just the next step in improving the safety of local
residents. Police were already equipped with supplies for minor injuries
but these new additions could serve as lifesaving tools.
