Mobile Vet Center

All Local Veterans and their Families, listen up. The Department of
Veterans Affairs’ Mobile Veterans Center, which provides services to
veterans and their families, will pull into the Laurel Mall at 9:30 a.m.
Tuesday morning January 10th. The United States Department of Veterans
Affairs operates the Mobile Veterans Center to reach veterans in
underserved areas and has been to hazleton at least two times in the
past with the help of State Representitive Tarah Toohil. Some of the
services provided through the center include:
• Individual and group counseling.
• Marital and family counseling.
• Bereavement counseling.
• Medical referrals.
• Assistance in applying for VA benefits
Employment counseling, guidance and referrals and Alcohol and drug
assessments. Members of Representitive Toohil’s staff will be on hand to
answer any questions about state programs available to military
veterans. In the case of inclement weather, check with Toohil’s office
on the status of the Unit’s visit.
