Laurel and Noble Street Fire

Laurel st fire 7 20A fire broke out early Friday morning in the City of Hazleton. An explosion was seen and heard as Fire Crews were called to the area of 218 – 220 South Laurel street where they found a camper completely engulfed in flames behind a home. The original call came in as a car fire, but when firefighters arrived on location they found a camper ablaze.
The fire from the camper was so intense that it melted siding on nearby the homes. According to Hazleton City Deputy Fire Chief Brian Mandak the fire got its start inside the camper. The Deputy Chief said a State Police Fire Marshal along with City Police Detectives are investigating the fire. As of Friday evening there still is no exact cause.
