Hazleton Neighbors Help Nab Burglar


A McAdoo man is behind bars after some quick acting neighbors helped nab the suspected burglar in Hazleton. 39-year-old James Davis from McAdoo was arraigned and charged after he was spotted breaking into sheds and garages on 17th Street and Meade Court in Hazleton on Monday morning. Police responded to the scene around 8am after a North Gate Crime Watch member called in the complaint to Hazleton Chief Frank DeAndrea. The man was spotted on Sybert Street with a back pack full of stolen tools.  Neighbors saw the man in the area with a barrel-full of tools and equipment. They said they called in the suspicious behavior right away. Davis was arraigned in front of Judge Zola Monday afternoon. He’s headed for the Luzerne County Prison.
